AI is a tool, not a friend who knows you
Clear, kind, specific questions get better help. Say what you need, for whom, and how long. 'Do everything' is a weak ask. 'Five kind lines for a thank-you card to my teacher' is a strong one.
Use the answer as a start
The model does not do your thinking. It drafts. You read, fix, and decide. That is how artists, helpers, and explorers stay in charge — the machine assists, the person remains the person.
Kind also means honest work
Do not ask it to cheat on a test. Do not paste secrets. A good ask teaches you, or helps you make something. A bad ask tries to skip being a student.
Worked example
Two asks
Weak: write my homework. Strong: I am stuck on why the sky looks orange at sunset. Explain like I am ten, in six sentences, then give me one question to think about. The second ask still lets you learn.
